The ball whizzed through the air. He jumped and clasped the ball firmly with his hands. He turned around , shook away his opponents and jumped, all in one fluid motion. The ball left his hands, destined for the hoop. It spun slowly through the still air, reflecting the bright rays of sunlight into the wide, amazed eyes of his opponent. Choop The ball ended its flight in a sound that was so exciting, and in a way, tantalizing. He longed to hear it again. That begins his seige on the opponent goal.
That day, he made the sound 24 times and heard it 35 times.
35 times more than he has heard in his past 6 months. He left for home, a happy man.
