Contrary to what people normally say, I like soccer with few players.
It allows you to be adventurous, to try thunderbolts and lobbing shots; gives you courage, space and confidence to take the ball past the opponent, maybe try a few stepovers and stunts; gives you time to develop partnership with your teammate, reading their every intention and playing some slick passing and one-twos.
Never mind that the final score is non-indicative of a real soccer match, never mind that the lungs are bursting due to relentless sprintings, never mind that the muscles are sore due to the excessive runnings.
At least there is more goalmouth action than midfield tackling, at least there is more excitement, at least every shot you make wont strike at another player, at least I can run to my heart's content.
And yes, most importantly, I enjoyed myself.
