Durian season

Wonder y, in the stretch of rifle range road, so many mercedes are parked illegally along the road, waiting for a few dollars worth of durians to fall from the trees.

Maybe it is to seek a lost childhood that has been banished by city life. Maybe it is the inbuilt kiasuism.
I dunno wat is it, but I am determined to find out.

Ah.. it is indeed a wonderful feeling to see the fruit descend down at 9.81m/s^2. The soft thud on the luxurious grass, the joy and excited feeling as we approached the fruit, the overpowering fragrance, the opening of the fruit with a jack knife, the squeal of delight at the fleshy pericarp, and the sharing of a fruit at the roadside between two crazy souls, remain deeply etched in my mind.

I finally knew y pple are willing to spend a whole day waiting for durians to drop. The anticipation before the drop, the suddeness of the drop, the delight at the drop, and the enjoying of the natural, wild fruit; the simplicity of the act n yet the innocent happiness that is derived from it.. it is almost i was a child again, marvelling at the wonders of nature.

Burppppp...
