Had to wake up at 0530 today. Drag my weary soul away from that ever comforting bed and hurry of to work. Thought It would be another fucked up day. I was proven wrong.
I saw the sunrise when i stepped into Seletar camp. It was a rare beauty; the skies were streaked a brilliant orange with the first rays of the sun. I put down my bag and sat down to admire the marvel, almost in a trance like state, totally oblivious to the army guys walking past me. Never mind that this sunrise is not as beautiful as the ones i saw at Tekong during prowling, never mind that it was not as picturesque as the one at Jurong Island, never mind that there was no girl by my side like the one I saw in Sentosa. This was, quite enough.
A cat came up and nuzzle against me. I stroke its back gently, and share my first moments of the day with the adorable cat and the mellowing sun. It was indeed a purr-fect morning.
