Hovering flames

To call them flies will be an insult. Compared to their irritating pesky cousins, these creatures fly with grace, dancing delightfully in the night.
Like sparks swivelling, these insects twirl around in unpredictable patterns, painting beautiful, illuminating pictures.
Trying to catch them alone brings excitement to a grudged duty night, not to mention the childlike wonder sensation when one unfortunate insect flew into my small outstretched palm.
Realli adore these fireflies.
